The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days. For 150 plus days the bible said the ark floated and Noah was in the ark. After 40 days of rain. Noah has no control over the ark. He was just a passenger along with his family and the animals. There was nothing to tell him if the water was increasing or decreasing, there was no glass windows, everything was blank.
Can you imagine what was going on in Noah’s mind, for the Lord had only told him, there would be rain for forty days and forty nights, but the Lord had not told him how long the flood would last. I’m imagining as the forty days passed into another 40 days and another, Noah might think that he was forgotten. I’m trying to picture the scene. Did Noah cry out, “Remember me Lord!” Did he get scared like I would? Did he get tired of the smell of the animals? Did he get angry, frustrated with different noise coming from the animals like I would? I wished I was in his mind to know what he was thinking.
We just had a powerful Empowered To Empower Weekend with our Parent Church, Bishop Ruth Smith-Holmes, a beautiful and powerful woman of God, and Light Of The World Association, the teachers was awesome. Yes the teachings were outstanding! But out of everything that was said, there was one statement that stuck with me “God Remembers”. It’s feels like God was making sure that we don’t forget “He remembers ” for He knows the thoughts that is riding our mind when things are not moving the way we thought. This Word from God had really comforted me to keep on going.
You know, sometimes it is not because your faith fell; but you just need to hear it, “ He remembers”
Maybe some of you right now is wrestling with these same thoughts for a long time and you have no control over what is going on. I want to reassure you, God remembers you. He remembers your effort, your sacrifices, and hard work. He remembers your worship, your prayers, and most of all; He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to you. He’ll hold back no good thing from those who are HIS
It may look like you are left orphan like Noah might have thought on the 100th day of him still in the ark but God is not so unjust as to overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving, as you still do” (Heb. 6:10).
Depend on HIM to deliver HIS best to you because THE LORD REMEMBERS!
