We have to take the plunge of faith before His divine power is released into our life. Once we’ve taken the step of believing in Jesus, all things are available including courage, forgiveness, vision, wisdom and a deepening trust in God
Let me start by saying that the nutrition needed is all in the word. The Words in the Bible is God’s revelation of truth, and its intended is for regular use by every believer even believers with decades of experience. Meditating on the Word day and night is not an option; it’s required to all believers (scripture), being committed, dedicated and faithful to a local church is a must; and the knowledge, those are remedy to a soil to become good. and understanding of God is just going to fall from heaven and rub on them.
We all understand this; for any new job, we need training. How can we expect to move to another country and never learn to speak the language nor the culture, to benefit from that country? How will we expect to have advance tools we need to have a better job if after graduated from kindergarten we don’t go to school thru college to have a better education that will suit the kind of lifestyle we which. And how can we imagine a mother being pregnant and detach herself from that baby in her womb, would that baby live?
Would you deprive your body of food and water when they hunger or thirst. Why then should we deprive our soul.
Food is made to feed in the body, water is to satisfy our thirst. The written word of God in the bible is is to satisty our hungy and thirst souls
It’s for a reason we have bible study, prayer meeting, revival, conferences, and Celebration Service. Those are tools to prepare the soil. Neglecting to do so, will hinder us to understand or receiving any message preached. Paul knew that. He admonished us in ---- not to forsake our gathering together. Jesus said to His disciples Matt. 13:11-12 : “You have been permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others have not - to those who are open to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge.”
We eat to satisfy physical hunger and to sustain physical life, we must eat daily the Word to sustain our spiritual life
Jesus has given us a new life, but only when we experience this new nature and the freedom it brings through the receiving of His word, we will truly see change in every form. Learning about God and ourselves, should be our highest ambitions as Believers.
The bible tells us that the people in 2 Peter chapters 3 stopped growing spiritually because of lack of spiritual dedication. They thought they knew all they needed to know.
It’s only in a soil of a continuing devoted and steadfast heart that the Word is received and spiritual fruitfulness is produced continually. Dedication is the key to growth. If we refuse to obey the precepts, we cannot expect to grow. Spiritual growth is not for a season, it’s for a lifetime.
If you are not doing your part and not growing, don’t blame it on the Word nor the Pastor because How faithful and committed you are to your assembly is how much groundwork needs to be done so that you can receive the Word.
Dedication, commitment, faithfulness, and doing what the Word says, are the combination to have a Good .
