However, let not circumstances define who we are in Christ Jesus nor define our focus on God’s love, God’s care that is much bigger and powerful than what we can see or touch.
Don’t ignore the fact that the enemy knows that there is so much of you that has not been unfolded yet, so much potentials, so much abilities and he also knows he cannot thwart the plans of God in your life, he will do all he can to distract your attention away from what God is saying and what God is doing even in the midst of what you might label as tough times.
In this last month of the year, it is our duty as believers to reflect on things that are lovely, pure, true, and honorable to God and don’t fret the raining days for you will succeed and achieve the victory. It may not look like it but you will make it through. The storm is not your destination. It’s a passing through! View it as an opportunity for God’s glory to shine in you. View it as being prepared for greater service.
So when your mind is drifting, turn to a praise song, to the Word of God and look up and live. Set your heart and mind on the Lord, know He is faithful to accomplish all that concerns you. He mapped them all out for He knew all the difficulties you would face; He already made a way. He already provided for every one of them. So look up and live! Persevere! Look up and live! Delight in Him!
If you have been blessed with a smoother journey, thank God for that and make the most of any opportunities you have. Say a prayer for someone every day. Keep looking up and keep living!
