Some choices are made on our own and some are forced upon us. A lot of choices we make have no right or wrong attached to them, like we occasionally make a choice of what to wear, a choice to go back to school, or a choice of what to eat. But we also face choices that carry a little more weight like choosing a marriage partner or what to do with your life.
Good or bad choices shape our future for a lifetime. We need to always remember our life is an expression of everything we have chosen, that is why it is crucial that we make not only the best but the right choice.
As a child of God, we need not only to make choices that don’t do wrong to ourselves but also careful of choices that may hinders our relationship with God and affects others.
Here are few ways you can go about “Making Choices”.
Does my decision help my witness for Christ? Does it glorify God?
Would my decision cause me to sin? Is it the best beneficial course of action?
Am I acting lovingly or selfishly? Will my decision cause someone else to sin?
How will this decision will affect/benefit you as a Child of God.
The overall guiding principles are how can I honor God through my choices.
