My husband and I were coming back from a conference in GA and I was driving. Suddenly, he said: did you see that! This car is flashing its lights, there is a police car somewhere and a few minutes after we saw the police car. For some reason, I never pay attention to those warning but I thought it was amazing. Amazing to have ways to communicate to other drivers on the highway to be cautious.
This brought my thoughts to reflect on other things that talk to us every day that we don't even pay attention to. Trees for example talks under the weather, they let us know when the season is changing, where the wind is blowing from. I was also thinking of how we people send out signals with our bodies and our bodies talk to us too; when something is not right, we received warning to check with a doctor.
My reflections took me further to number of different methods God use to speak to us . In the Garden of Eden, God had a natural relationship with Adam, He used to walk in the cool of the day, fellowship with him. After sin entered the world, God speaks to man through the prophets, through dreams, through the fire, the wind, thunder, and sometimes through a still voice. But after Jesus Christ personally came on earth, He creates a new way to talk to us through His Holy Word and the Holy Spirit.
Since then, The Spirit of God continually talks to us, teaching us everything we need to know about God the Father and God the Son, guiding us in all truth on the highway of our lives. John 14:26.
I believe if we pay more attention to ways of communication on the highway and other things around us, we can prevent ourselves from many dangers.
I also believe if we pay attention to the ways God talk to us and obey His voice; life will be so much easier because how obedient we are to God's voice will have a direct effect on things in our lives.
